NEW JACKSON PRAYER AND PRAISE:

WHEN: Saturday, April 19th - Noon to 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: 620 Greenwood Place (near the corner of South Jackson, Greenwood and Wilkins) just a few blocks from downtown Jackson. (formally the Canaan Land Temple Church, now the City of Zion Ministries)

WHY: Simply put, together we can make a difference. When the people of a region come together in unity to fight the good fight, pray and believe, take a stand, and speak positive declarations over the leaders and residents of their area they will see a change for the better. So we come together April 19th and make a joyful noise. A good one. One that motivates the residents, encourages the leaders, protects and covers in love all those who live here. No matter who you are, where you live, or how you live, YOU are the NEW Jackson.

ALSO INVOLVED: Adopt-a-Cop is the main sponsor of this event. This prayer program was introduced at the last New Jackson gathering in October of 2007. There are close to 300 law enforcement officers available to adopt and pray for. Our goal is to be able to have all of them covered in prayer by the end of the day on April 19th. There are around 80 to 90 officers adopted so far. Please click on the police cap logo (to the left) and visit their site for more information and/or to sign up to Adopt-a-Cop (a division of the Jackson Chapter of C.L.E.F. - Christian Law Enforcement Fellowship)

WHY GATHER TOGETHER?:To come together in unity. To encourage one another. To see and hear what others are doing to help Jackson. To form a united front. To learn about awesome opportunities available right here in our community. And to take a stand and pray for all the right stuff. During 5 hours of non-stop music, praise, prayers, dramas and many speakers you will leave filled up to over flow with ideas and a new enthusiasm for your county.
