Summertime brings added challenges as we have graduation parties, weddings, vacations and family activities to fit into our already busy everyday schedules. However, ACTS49 doesn’t take a vacation. In fact, the summer time is our busiest. Spending weekends at MIS, Jackson Speedway and Relay for Life -along with delivering Angel Food, taking lunch to Habitat Volunteers, receiving requests from 211, working with Kiwanis, and blessing little children at Kids Explosion each week – we find ourselves very busy yet fulfilled at the end of each day.
Where would we be without volunteers? Our entire staff offers their time out of the desires of their hearts. Our hope is to show Jesus through our actions. Won’t you consider joining us in a different type of worship?
We hope that you take some time for others this busy summer. Whether it’s taking ice cold water to Habitat Volunteers, walking a lap at Relay for Life, chaperoning at LazyB’s or donating to our cause. Enjoy your summer.

Every Monday 9:30-10:30 is Kid’s Explosion at the YMCA! We’ve come together with We Can Make A Difference House and Trooper Larry to bring Jesus to about 300 kids. There are bible stories, games, songs and cheers! If you would like to volunteer, please contact Wendy Wight at 517.740.8444. This program runs all summer long.

Brooklyn Kiwanis is having “Christmas in July” for our troops on July 12th from 10:00-3:00 downtown Brooklyn. They are taking donations of baked goods for a sale they are having to raise funds to ship care packages to soldiers serving overseas. Please contact Heather at 571.990.7405 if you would like to donate bake goods. Oh yea – feel free to show up! The entire town is celebrating with side walk sales, dunk tanks and much much more!

July 25th-26th we are participating in Jackson 24 Race for Charity. We are racing Go Karts against 20 other teams -24 hour’s straight- to raise funds for the First Nazarene Food Bank.
