HABITAT BUILD and ARRANGE FOR HEAT:

We again teamed up with Greater Jackson Habitat for Humanity to lend helping hands in building a home for a Jackson family. We truly enjoy working with this crew of people, and it always proves rewarding.

A few days before this project, we contacted a local Christian radio station who sponsored a contest to furnish a person's house with a new furnace. The winner of the contest was chosen, but we thought, "Hey, what about the other people who need heat?" We got in touch with the radio station, who put us in touch with a couple names of people on the list who need heat. Before we knew it, we had a family and we began the steps to meet the need! As Tim Lamphere said to the home-owner on the phone, "Because you came in second place, that just makes you the first without heat." (Well said, Tim!)

Fast forward to building with GJHFH. While building, Tim and the guys were talking about odds-and-ends of projects, and the furnase situation came up. As it turns out, the building coordinator for HFH attends a nearby small church and his pastor is a heating and cooling guy! Within seconds, he was on the phone and arrangements were made to look at the house and see what needed done for the home-owner to get her new furnace. The pastor is donating his time to install and repair duct work, and will only charge factory costs for parts!

God moves is wonderful and mysterious ways! Please keep in touch with us if you'd like to contribute time or services to any upcoming service projects. Many hands make light work.
