MOVING FORWARD:

For our last service date at the Jackson Interfaith Shelter, Melanie (professional caterer extraordinaire), volunteered her services and gave us a much-appreciated hand.  The residents and guests absolutely loved her 4-course meal!  Thank you so much for your help, Melanie!  You did a marvelous job!!

As an aside, it unfortunately looks like the end of the road for our involvement with the shelter.  It's not by virtue of not enjoying the service, or of anything done wrong, but because the shelter has an age restriction.  We initially got involved because we wanted to provide for a way our children to get their hands in the mix.  Sadly, the age restrictions changed from the information we were initially told.  So only a couple of the kids could join us.

But that's OK.  We're moving on in consideration of other opportunities.  One of those opportunities appears to be with a retirement/assisted living center here in Jackson.  We look forward to being able to brighten up some days for locals in their golden years.
